The journey through Norway’s Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord included breathtaking views, a thrilling navigation under the Hardangerbrua bridge, and a scenic ride on the Troll Train that highlighted the village’s Viking history. Continuing to Stavanger, travelers experienced stunning landscapes, local flavors, and iconic sites like Pulpit Rock, reflecting Norway’s majestic beauty.
On July 27th, we explored Kristiansand, Norway, taking a nostalgic train trip on the Setesdal Vintage Railway. This historic route showcases beautiful countryside along the Otra River. Despite a drought limiting steam engines, we enjoyed the scenic ride to Røyknes and discovered Kristiansand’s rich history as a port town established in 1641.
Nana and the narrator embark on a Viking-themed cruise retracing Norse routes from Norway to Greenland. They enjoyed family time in Hannover, coinciding with the Maschseefest festival, and loved the local traditions, including a unique drink.
