Barcelona 2026 – Day 5: Catalan Modernisme & the Architecture of Gaudí

The Barcelona trip highlighted the city’s vibrant architecture, particularly the works of Antoni Gaudí. A lecture focused on Gaudí’s unique style, influenced by his devout faith, and features like La Sagrada Família, La Pedrera, and the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site showcased how architecture embodies imagination and spirituality, contributing to the city’s lively atmosphere.

Yesterday, we arrived in Barcelona, enjoying a castle dinner and a significant Mass at Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí’s iconic basilica, still under construction since 1882. After exploring the bustling city on electric bikes, we experienced a lively party with our sister ship, featuring a spectacular drone show. Tomorrow, we travel to Alicante.
