We arrived to the Canaries Islands today. We have three stops here over the next three days. The Canaries Islands are a group of many islands, the largest being Santa Cruz (Tenerife), which is where we are docked today. The weather was fantastic today with a high of 69 degrees and was very sunny.

Today we toured the islands and visited 3 different botanical gardens. They have done a great job in preserving many different plant varieties from around the world. Nana was having a great day looking at many different plants.

She likes seeing flowers and they remind her of her children and grandchildren. Papa was busy listening to Nana talk about the plants and taking pictures for her.
Our tour bus was completely full today with mostly Dutch people on the tour. Of course most of the ship is Dutch so this makes sense. There are a lot of older people on this portion of the cruise. A lot more wheel chairs and scooters.
The ship is not leaving until 10:30pm tonight as the next stop is very close to here.
Nana and I attended a show tonight put on by locals from Tenerife. It was called the Flamenco Passion. The show featured a very talented man on the guitar as well as a couple that danced. I would have liked a lot more dancing and more dancers and less solo paying of the guitar but overall it was very enjoyable.
