Another sea day rounding the corner of France getting ready to head up the English Channel.
Nana went swimming again in the pool with Wolfgang. The ship was rolling a lot and there were other people in the pool so Nana and Wolfgang did not get too much swimming in.
Nana and I took our 1 mile walk around the deck. We did have another dog sighting for the 2nd two weeks of our cruise. It looks like the dog grass on deck 3 on the walkway is getting some use. The grass is looking pretty bad though. We are curious as to why it showed up where it did on the 2nd two weeks and where was it during the first two weeks.
After our walk, we did our weight exercising and then off to the hot tup in the thermo suite.
Nana got her hair curled and set so she would be all ready fro dressy night tonight. It is shame that formal night has turned into dressy night here on Holland America. And even at that, most people don’t really get dressed up at all for dinner. I do note the Dutch people are more dressed up versus the primarily Canadians and Americans we had on our first two weeks.
Today was my grandson’s Birthday….. Happy Birthday Issac. He is now 4 years old. They get so big so fast.
There seems to be many more walkers, wheel chairs, and canes this 2nd two weeks of the cruise. Since the majority of the passengers this time are Dutch, we figure that it is easy if you don’t have to travel far distances if you are impaired and the cruise is great for handicapped people to get around and be at all of the venues. Since our 2nd two week cruise started in Rotterdam and ends in Rotterdam it makes it a lot easier if you live close to Rotterdam to go on the cruise.
I got a lot more train programming done today. There was a lot of coding and then testing. Final testing will have to be on the physical layouts but I can work through 95% of the issues using the JMRI simulator. While writing programs has gotten so much easier from my college days, it is still a pain. I hear all this talk about AI and how it will improve productivity but it still has a long way to go. You would think that writing programs would be made for AI but nothing that I can find is readily available for what I need yet.
We had another dinner at the Pinnacle grill tonight. We had a great time with Wolfgang and Laura and also Dora and Lynn., We arrived at 6pm and did not leave until 8:30pm. Service was excellent so it was the great company that we lingered over. I wrote in my previous blog about the Holy Sprirt and meeting people and these two couples are a prime example. We have enjoyed and learned so much from them and they have made an impact on us. I did get my favorite all time appetizer, candied bacon……. if only my daughters could learn to make it !…… just kidding in case they are reading my blog.

Tomorrow we start packing, oh sad day. It is crazy that on a 4 week cruise it seems to go so fast and it is now almost over.
